Lee Day, Director of Baseball Operations and Head Coach for JV/Varsity
Coach Lee Day’s life verse is found in 1 Samuel 2:30 where God declares, “…for those who honor Me I will honor…” Coach Day has a desire to honor God in all things through life, ministry, and sports. Coach Day and his wife Erica have been married for 16 years and have two sons. Together they have pastored Christ Family Outreach Church located in Amelia for the past 12 years.
Coach Day loves the game of baseball. He has coached at both the middle and high school level and founded and runs a highly competitive and successful travel baseball program. During the 2019 season, they were champions in over half of the tournaments they played in and placed in the top three of those they didn’t win.
Coach Day loves discovering his players' strengths and then focusing on making that athlete even better. He enjoys seeing his teams working hard together, creating a brotherhood that will last beyond the field. His ultimate goal is to see his team win on the field together and grow into a men of God while doing it.
Eric Gundersen, Assistant Coach for JV/Varsity
Coach Eric Gundersen has been coaching baseball for 25 years and still enjoys every play of every inning. In his spare time, he loves to study the game by watching both the MLB and the college game. Coach Gundersen has coached at both the JV and varsity levels. He also helps coach a highly competitive travel baseball program together with Coach Lee Day.
